London Marathon
P 020 7902 0200
Saturday, 26 April
Every April the London Marathon brings with it a carnival atmosphere as crowds line the streets to cheer on the fit and the unfit as they run 26 miles from Blackheath to St James' Park. One of the route's most iconic moments takes place in the City of London as the throngs of runners pass over Tower Bridge; this is a popular viewing spot though, so arrive early. After crossing the bridge, the route travels to Canary Wharf before coming back through the City along Byward Street, Upper Thames Street and Lower Thames Street.
See the London Marathon website for further details of the route and for times.
